Mark has been a lapidarian since 1977. He studied Art Jewelry design, silver and gold design and precious metal casting in Taos, NM for 9 months in 1980.

In 1998 Mark discovered a unique type of stone in his backyard after seeing himself digging rock there in a dream.

He calls this new gemstone “Dreamstone”, and has been working with it to show its excellent properties.

Over time, Mark & Rita have developed the “bead and button” style for simplicity as well as beauty.

No metals or backing are required for assembly, and the design allows each customer a custom fit to their preference and size.

Since there is only one known source of Dreamstone, Mark & Rita’s work is truly unique.
